Three days Training Programme for MCD personnel by NDRF inaugurated today at Delhi

Today (Thursday), a three days training programme for Municipal Cooperation of Delhi (MCD) on Disaster Management being conducted by NDRF was inaugurated by Smt Vandana Rao, Deputy Commissioner, MCD, Delhi at MCD HQ Shahdara, Delhi.
Total 50 personnel from MCD are attending this capsule course. This training programme is designed by NDRF considering that Delhi is very much vulnerable to various disasters like fire incidents, Building Collapse, CBRN incidents, Floods etc. and therefore MCD Personnel must also be sensitized about disaster response.
During the 03 days training, trainees will be sensitize about Disaster Management in General, Basic MFR including CPR, FBAO, Lifting & moving of patient, Blood control, First Aid, CSSR equipment handling and cutting techniques, Rope rescue from high-rise building, Improvised rafting techniques and Do’s & Don’ts during disaster.
It is pertinent to mention here that NDRF since its inception in year 2006 conducting such training programme for all stake holders and have trained more than 76,000 stake holders till now. Initially 200 MCD personnel will be trained by NDRF in phases.
