Rescue and Evacuation Operation By NDRF

Dated 23rd July, 2016 Time 1800 Hrs

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) deployed its 37 urban search and Rescue teams at various location of the country viz- Assam,West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala,Gujarat, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Arunachal Pradesh in connection with prepositioning monsoon deployment. These USAR teams comprising of trained responders, Inflatable Rubber Boats (IRBs), life jackets, deep divers, deep diving set and other equipment used to search and rescue people in flood situations.

Today, 01 team of NDRF which was deployed at Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh due to flood like situation conducted rescue and evacuation operation at Mahadevpur, Namasai and evacuated 67 stranded persons to safer places.
