RESCUE AND EVACUATION OPERATION BY NDRF

45 self-contained flood rescue teams of NDRF equipped with latest disaster management gadgets and communication equipment are prepositioned in various flood prone areas of the country to assist the respective state administration in rescue and relief work. The personnel of NDRF are delivering their best to make the access to the stranded people in low lying parts of regions. Besides, NDRF teams are also distributing relief materials and providing medical care to the needy peoples.
Yesterday, NDRF team deployed at Aurangabad, Maharashtra for flood rescue & relief operation evacuated 51 persons to the safer places. In addition, NDRF team deployed in Purnia, Bihar organised medical camp and distributed medicine to 252 persons.
02 NDRF teams are still engaged in search and rescue operation in connection with Mumbai-Goa Highway Bridge Collapsed. NDRF responders are leaving no stone unturned to make use of their professional capabilities to trace out the missing victims in the Savitri River. NDRF teams, in addition to latest search and rescue gadgets, also using Live fish finder, Eco sensor and all possible improvised method to find the bodies and lost vehicle. Sh SP Selvan DIG NDRF along with other senior officers of NDRF is present their to supervise the running operation. Yesterday, NDRF team retrieved one more dead body. So Far, NDRF teams have been recovered three dead bodies.
A 24X7, NDRF control room in New Delhi is closely monitoring the situation and in touch with other agencies.
