NDRF DEPLOYED 48 FLOOD RESCUE TEAMS

48 Flood rescue teams of NDRF have been pre-positioned in various flood prone areas across the country for flood rescue and relief operations. NDRF teams are relentlessly engaged to assist the respective administration in rescue and relief work.

One team of NDRF carried out operation at Teh- Kusalgarh, Distt- Baswada, Rajsthan where SDM of Kusalgarh, Sh. Rameshvardayal Meena swept away while crossing the rainy stream. Team retrieved the body of victim at 0940 hrs, today.

One NDRF team, operational at Jamnagar, Gujarat evacuated 20 persons who got stuck in a factory due to flood caused by heavy rains. The operation is still in progress.

One NDRF team is operational at Distt- Sundernagar Gujarat where incessant rainfall created flood like situation. Yesterday, team carried out rescue and evacuation operation and evacuated 14 persons and further shifted them to a safer place. Operation is still in Progress.

One team is operational in Muzzafarnagar, Bihar in connection with drowning of one person in a pond.

NDRF team deployed in Ranchi, Jharkhand carried out operation at Khilari, Ranchi in connection with drowning of a person in a pond and retrieved body of victim, yesterday.

NDRF team deployed in Hyderabad carried out search operation at Chandrayan Gutta, Distt- Hyderabad in connection with drowning of persons and retrieved the body of victim, yesterday.

NDRF team deployed at Kamrup Rural, Assam, carried out operation at Vill- Nala pada, distt- Kamrup Rural in connection with drowning of 01 person in a pond and retrieved a body, yesterday.

DG, NDRF is monitoring the situation and touch with other agencies and stakeholders for further development of situation.
