NDRF CONDUCTS THE CLEANLINESS DRIVE AHEAD OF GHANDHI JAYANTI ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Today, in line with PM’s vision to make the cities Garbage Free and to signify the theme of ‘Swachhta hi Seva’ all the formations of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) conducted the cleanliness drive in the local areas of their place of deployment. On this occasion troops of NDRF HQ also conducted the cleanliness drive led by DG NDRF Sh Atul Karwal from 10 AM to 11 AM in the areas of Sadiq Nagar Park, Kendriya Vidyalaya and surrounding areas in Sadiq Nagar of Delhi. Alongwith the officers and rescures of NDRF, local residents and school children took part actively with full of zeal and enthusiasm to make this event successful and meaningful.
Before the drive started, all the attendees took the Swachhta oath to maintain the cleanliness in their respective surrounding areas and to realize the Gandhiji’s dream of clean India.
DG NDRF Sh Atul Karwal, IG Sh Narendra Singh Bundela and other senior officers of NDRF interacted with students of Kendriya Vidyalaya and made them aware about importance of clean environment.
In addition, NDRF also conducted the free medical checkups and provided consultation to many civilian visitors during this occasion.
