FLOOD RESCUE AND RELIEF OPERATION BY NDRF

The flood rescue and relief operation by NDRF in flood prone areas across the country is still continuing.NDRF rescuers are putting their best efforts to provide immediate assistance to the flood affected people.

Gujarat:- 33 teams are deployed in Gujarat. Yesterday, NDRF teams deployed in Banaskatha conducted flood rescue operation and evacuated more than 380 persons. Besides NDRF teams also distributed relief materials 15800-food pkt, 6150-water bottle. 19700- Water pkt. During the visit in flood affected areas Chief Minister of Gujarat Sh. Vijay Rupani appreciated the efforts of National Disaster Force (NDRF) for rescue and relief of flood affected people.

Rajasthan:- 04 NDRF teams are operational at Distt. Pali, Barmer, Udaipur and Jalore in Rajasthan carried out rescue operation and evacuated 127 persons and distributed 625-food pkt in flood affected area.

West Bengal :- 10 teams of NDRF are deployed in West Bengal to provide assistance to the state authority in rehabilitation and evacuation of flood affected people. Yesterday, teams conducted rescue and relief operation in Distt- West Mednipur & Hooghly and evacuated 08 persons and distributed of relief materials to flood victims.

NDRF control room in Delhi is closely monitoring the situation round the clock and in touch with other agencies and stakeholders.
