1328 PERSONS RESCUED BY NDRF

1328 persons have been rescued by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) from the various parts of the country viz. 614 persons in Assam, 452 persons in Arunachal Pradesh, 217 persons in Tripura and 45 persons in Gujarat state during this monsoon season. Besides, NDRF teams also provided Pre Hospital Treatment to 3378 sick and injured persons.
On Sunday, NDRF team carried out operation at Vill-Midpo area, Distt-Papumpare, Arunachal Pradesh, where 02 persons got trapped at other side of river Pare and rescued both persons safely. Besides, NDRF team deployed at Muzaffarpur, Bihar, retrieved a body of victim who drowned in a pond at Block-17.
One team is operational at Vill-Veervat Konhwallia, Teh-Tamkuhiraj, Distt-Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh in connection with drowning of a boy in river Gandak.
NDRF has pre-positioned its 48 rescue teams in flood prone areas of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal States to provide relief to flood affected victims.
DG NDRF is monitoring the situation closely and in touch with other agencies and stakeholders for further development of situation.
