05 NDRF PERSONNEL AWARDED PRESIDENT’S POLICE MEDAL/POLICE MEDAL ON THE OCCASION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY-2020

Officers & personnel of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been awarded with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day-2020.
The President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service is awarded for long and distinguished service to individuals who have served at least 25 years in the police service or in the central police and security organizations. Individuals must be prior recipients of the Police Medal for Meritorious Service and must have held that medal for at least six years. Sh. Manoj Kumar Yadav, DIG of NDRF has been conferred with President Police Medal for Distinguished Service for his outstanding contribution towards the service.
The Police Medal for Meritorious Service is awarded to the personnel of Central police and security organization who have completed a minimum service of 18 years. The medal is awarded to personnel for their commendable work whether operational or administrative. Sh. K B Singh, Chief Medical officer (NDRF) and 03 Inspectors namely Sh, Jitender Singh, Sh. K. Chandrasekharan and Sh. Bidhan Chandra Roy have been awarded with Police Medal for Meritorious Service in recognition to their outstanding services.
So far, 10 NDRF officers/personnel have been awarded with President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 70 with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
