Rescue Operation – SLBC Tunnel Collapse

Four teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), along with two trained canines, were mobilized to the incident site following the roof collapse of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) Tunnel.
At the time of the incident, eight persons were reported trapped inside the tunnel. The NDRF teams immediately commenced intensive Search and Rescue (SAR) operations under challenging and hazardous conditions. Through sustained and coordinated efforts, the teams successfully retrieved two deceased persons from the debris.
