Delivery of pregnant lady in NDRF boat in Ganga river at Birpur, Mahnar, Vaishali, Bihar
One team of NDRF was deployed at Vaishali, Bihar in connection with flood rescue operation. On 24th August, 2016, team received a phone call regarding shifting a pregnant lady to the hospital. The team rushed to the village and boarded the pregnant lady named Smt. Roshni Devi, age 28 years w/o Shri Saroj Patel, village Birpur, Block Mahnar, District Vaisali, Bihar on NDRF boat for shifting her to PHC, Mahnar. In the mid river, unbearable labour pain was started and NDRF personnel present at the boat assess the condition of the lady and helped her to deliver a baby. After the successful delivery the lady was transported to the PHC, Manhnar.

One team of NDRF was deployed at Vaishali, Bihar in connection with flood rescue operation. On 26th August, 2016, team received a phone call from BDO Manhar regarding shifting a pregnant lady to the hospital. The team rushed to the village and boarded the pregnant lady named Smt. Rinku Devi, age 30 years w/o Shri Dilip Thakur, village Birpur, Block Mahnar, District Vaishali, Bihar in NDRF boat for transporting her to PHC, Sunderpur. When the boat reached near the sunder Ghat, the unbearable labour pain was started to the lady. NDRF personnel present at the boat and Sunder gaht assess the condition of the lady and help her to deliver a baby. After that the lady was transported to the Bakhtiyarpur Hospital.
Delivery of pregnant lady in NDRF boat in Ganga river at Chandrapur, Raghopur, Vaishali, Bihar
One team of NDRF was deployed at Didarganj, Bihar in connection with flood rescue operation. On 28th August, 2016, Commandant 9th Bn received a phone call from Chandrapur village regarding shifting a pregnant lady to the PHC Raghopur, Vaishali. On the direction of Commandant team rushed to the village and boarded the pregnant lady named Smt. Rekha Devi, age 25 years w/o Shri Meghan Rai, village Chandrapur, Block Raghopur, District Vaisali, Bihar in NDRF boat for shifting her to PHC, Mohanpur (Raghopur). In the mid river the unbearable labour pain was started to the lady, after seeing the liquid discharge & crowning stage, NDRF personnel at the boat decided to make the delivery on the boat and help the lady to deliver twin baby. After the successful delivery the lady was transported to the PHC, Mohanpur (Raghopur).
