On 28th June 2022 at around 0010 hrs, a G+ 3 story building collapsed in Ganesh Nagar near Kurla East Depo, Mumbai (MH). On intimation, NDRF immediately mobilized its 01 CSSR team from its nearest base at Mumbai, Maharashtra for prompt response. Where several persons suspected to be trapped. After initial assessment, one more teams mobilised from RRC Mumbai to augment the operation. NDRF teams joined the rescue operations with Fire Brigade & BMC. As the victims were trapped inside the debris, due care and diligence were taken by the response agencies. NDRF responders used high-tech equipment & Canine to locate the trapped victims. During the operations, NDRF teams rescued 03 persons alive and retrieved 17 dead bodies. After accounting for all the victims, the operation was called off at 281920 hrs in consultation with local administration.
