NDRF HELD EARTHQUAKE AWARENESS MOCK DRILL IN “PARYAVARAN BHAWAN” CGO COMPLEX NEW DELHI
Dated 05th May 2016 Time:-1800 hrs
Today at 4:00 P.M, a Mock Exercise on Earthquake disaster was conducted under supervision of NDRF at “Paryavaran Bhawan” CGO complex, New Delhi. The aim of the exercise was to create awareness and sensitise the employees of the offices located in Block-11 of CGO complex. This block is also known as “Paryavaran Bhawan”. NDRF Headquarter is also located in the same building.
NDRF personnel briefed about life saving techniques, precautions and methods of rescuing people during such eventualities. Employees of all the 25 departments / ministries located in the Paryavaran Bhawan participated enthusiastically in the mock drill.
NDRF is actively involved in the community capacity building and public awareness programmes in order to make the people and communities aware and capable to face the disasters. Force has sensitised more than 39, 66,395 personnel in its capacity building programme across the country.
