NDRF RESCUED 20 LIVES IN UTTRAKHAND

As a part of proactive measures in Monsoon season, 117 self- contained fully equipped flood rescue NDRF teams comprising of more than three thousand rescuers have been pre-positioned in various flood-prone areas of 29 States/UTs across the country.
Due to heavy rain in Distt- Uttarkashi of Uttarkhand, leads to rise in water level at Vill- Mastwari ,Uttarkashi where few people reported to be trapped. On receiving requisition from DDMO Uttarkashi about the incident, 01 NDRF team promptly responded and immediately rushed to spot and started rescue Operation. Team safely evacuated 20 stranded people and shifted them to safer place.
In another incident, on 18th July, a 03 story warehouse building got collapsed near Vill- Khwaspur, Tehsil- Faruknagar, Gurugram in which few people got stuck. On intimation from SHO, Patodi, 02 CSSR teams of NDRF from Dwaraka & Ghaziabad NDRF base left to the incident site. On reaching the incident place, rescuers immediately started the SAR operation and retrieved 03 dead bodies from the debris.
