NDRF ORGANISINED TWO DAYS TABLE TOP AND MOCK EXERCISE ON RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY AT BANGALURU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

In order to provide immediate relief to the quake affected victims and assist the local administration in “Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief” (HADR) operations in Manipur, 02 Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team of NDRF equipped with state-of-the-art Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) equipment and other disaster response gadgets have been airlifted from NDRF base Guwahati, Assam to Imphal Airbase at 1045 hrs and 1100 hrs respectively. 01 more USAR team is being shortly airlifted to Silchar, Assam from Guwahati Airbase. Canine trained in USAR are integral parts of NDRF USAR team are also mobilized with each USAR team to enhance the capabilities and provide immediate response to stranded persons. NDRF USAR teams are also equipped with the Medical components comprising of Doctors and Paramedics to provide medical attention to injured persons if required.
03 additional teams are also kept in reserve in NDRF base Guwahati and shall be mobilized as per demand of the situation.
NDRF control room in Delhi is closely monitoring the situation and in close touch with other agencies.
