In a heartening development, NDRF saves the girl child trapped in bore well and taken her out live in a prolonged operation in Munger, Bihar.
To augment the efforts of SDRF, a small team of NDRF was airlifted to Murgiachak area under Kotwali police station in District Munger from NDRF base Bihta, Patna at 1445 hrs where, a three year old girl fell down into a deep open bore well and got stuck on Tuesday. In addition, one more team was also mobilised from NDRF Base Bihta, Patna, Bihar to Munger by road to assist SDRF in rescue operation.
Airlifted NDRF team reached on the spot at 1530 hrs and joined the on-going operation with SDRF. SDRF personnel were operational since yesterday. They made an L-shaped parallel approach by digging adjacent to the bore well in a bid to reach out to the child.
The brave child responded and followed all the instructions carefully given by the rescuers. All out efforts were made to reach out to the victim.
With due care and diligence the child was safely rescued at 2135 hrs in a joint operation with SDRF.
