JOINT RESCUE OPERATION CONTINUES AFTER LANDSLIDE INCIDENT AT NONEY, MANIPUR

A joint rescue operation is underway after a massive landslide hit at Tupul yard railway construction camp in western Manipur's Noney district on Wednesday night (29th June 2022).

03 NDRF teams with canine squad and other advance equipment are conducting the rescue operation alongwith Army, SDRF, State Police and District administration.

In the joint operation 17 dead bodies have been retrieved from the site till now. Before the arrival of NDRF team, 18 injured persons were rescued and shifted to hospital on 30th June 2022. More people are suspected to be still stuck beneath the debris. Search Operation is continuing.

A 24*7 NDRF control room is closely monitoring the situation and is in close touch with concerned authorities.
