Flood rescue and relief operations by NDRF in flood affected areas across the country is in full swing. Besides, NDRF teams are also engaged to response to other eventuality arises due to floods like landslides.   

Bihar : The heavy rains in Bihar raised the water level of main rivers and their tributaries and created flood situation in North Bihar. 10 flood rescue teams of NDRF have been deployed in flood affected districts viz. Supaul, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Betiah, Motihari, Kishanganj, Purnia and Dedarganj. To expand the rescue operations, 04 more NDRF teams are being airlifted from Bhuwneshwar, Odisha to Purnia, Bihar.

Assam : 17 flood rescue teams of NDRF have been deployed in flood affected districts of Assam viz. Tinsukia, Dhemaji, Kokarajhar, Bonganigaon, Majuli, Dhubri, Chirag, Biswanath Guwahati, Cachar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Sibsagar, Dibrugarh and Moigaon for prompt response to flood disaster . Yesterday, NDRF teams rescued 249 persons at Kokrajhar, 50 persons at Bonganigaon and 108 persons at Biswanath. The rescue operations is in progress.  

Tripura: Yesterday, one team of NDRF operational at Agartala, Tripura carried out rescue operations and evacuated 372 at Village Ashram Chamani, Agartala and 47 person in village -Partapgarh, Agartala. So far, NDRF has rescued 23 persons and evacuated 970 persons in Tripura.

West Bengal:-  12 Flood rescue teams of NDRF are deployed at flood affected areas viz. Alipurdwar, Cooch Bihar, Ghattal West Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, 24 North Pargana, 24 South Pargana, Siliguri and Rajarhat for flood rescue and relief operations. Yesterday, NDRF team conducted rescue operations in flood affected area of  Sadar block, District Jalpaiguri  and evacuated 552 person to the safer place. In addition, NDRF team operational at Ghattal, West Medinipur distributed 1000 water pouches and other relief material to flood affected victims.

Himachal Pradesh : 02 Search and Rescue teams of NDRF are operational at Padhar area in Mandi, HP in connection with a landslide incident. So far, NDRF team has retrieved 05 dead bodies. Operation is still in progress.  

Uttarakhand : 01 Search and Rescue teams of NDRF  is operational at  Village Madarma, Munsyari, Pithoragarh  in connection with  a landslide incident. So far, NDRF team has retrieved 01 body of victim. Operation is still in progress.  

NDRF HQ, New Delhi is closely monitoring the situation and is in touch with other agencies and stakeholders.
