SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATION BY NDRF IN PUKHRAYAN TRAIN DERAILMENT

05 search and rescue teams of NDRF comprising of nearly 200 trained responders were engaged to clear the bogies of the derailed train at the site of train accident near Kanpur, U.P since yesterday early morning. The NDRF Brave hearts carried out the herculean task of rescuing trapped and injured victim from the mangled bogies of derailed train even in night to reach to the maximum injured victims. The NDRF teams used its all available resources viz. multi-purpose latest gadgets, tools, equipment as well as canine for prompt and specialized response.
- After thorough search of all bogies and consultation with Railway Authorities and Local Civil Administration, the search and rescue operation by NDRF in Pukhrayan has been called off.
- The incredible responders of NDRF again proved themselves as a true “Crusaders against Calamities” by undertaking specialized search and rescue operation and rescuing 55 precious lives and retrieval of 74 bodies.
